Unconscious Woman Found on Aversboro Road

Update 3:45 p.m. Garner Police have identified the young woman they found on the side of Aversboro Road early Tuesday morning. They are not releasing her name until out-of-state family members arrive to confirm her identity. Criminal detectives and the crash reconstruction team are investigating. Police say the woman was not the victim of random violence.

Garner police found an unconscious young woman on the side of Aversboro Road near Old Scarborough Lane early this morning. The woman sustained a head injury, according to authorities. Garner EMS took her to WakeMed where she is in critical condition.

Garner Police investigate the appearance of a mysterious young woman on Aversboro Road early Tuesday morning.

Police are investigating the cause of her injuries. The call came in to Garner Police at 3:31 a.m.

Authorities have not identified the woman. They describe her as a Hispanic, in her late teens or early twenties, standing approximately 5 feet tall, weighing about 100 pounds. She has long dark brown hair, brown eyes and a light brown complexion. She also has a green butterfly tattoo on the right side of her stomach.

Anyone with information on the woman’s identity is asked to call the Garner Police Department at 919-772-8810. Anyone who was in the area of Aversboro Road and Old Scarborough Lane and saw the woman early Tuesday morning should contact the Garner Police.
