Allstate Foundation honors volunteers

Gerald Byrd and Ashley Petrakis were awarded the Agency Hands in the Community Award for their commitment to volunteering in the community. With each award comes a $500 grant from The Allstate Foundation, for a total of $1,000 for the Garner Civitan Club where Byrd and Petrakis volunteer.

“Allstate believes that it is very important for corporations to take an active interest in the communities they serve. We appreciate the support of The Allstate Foundation for the work of the Civitan Club here in Garner,” Byrd said.

The Allstate Foundation is an independent corporation funded by contributions from the Allstate Insurance Company. Grants are awarded to nonprofit community initiatives to promote safe and vital communities, tolerance, inclusion and diversity and economic empowerment.
