The Garner Police Department received the following calls between Monday, May 11 and Sunday, May 17:
Burglaries
Police arrested a man for allegedly breaking and entering into an apartment at 1033 Lenoxplace Circle and holding a knife to the throat of a female resident before making off with a $3,000 laptop computer and $50 in cash. The incident occurred between approximately noon and 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 11. Derrick R. Daniels, 21, was charged with first-degree burglary, felony larceny and assault with a deadly weapon.
Police are investigating a break-in at a residence at Forest Hills Apartments located at 917 Seventh Ave. in which more than $160 in property was stolen, including two DVD players and a cell phone. The incident occurred between approximately 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Thursday, May 14.
Assaults
Police arrested a Hampton, Ga., woman for allegedly pointing a gun at another individual inside her father’s home located at 1318 Vandora Springs Drive. The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. Thursday, May 14 during an argument between the father and daughter over money he owed her, according to police. Alishia Y. Adams, 29, was charged with assault by pointing a gun.
Police arrested a Garner woman for allegedly assaulting another woman inside the home of the victim’s grandmother located at 506 Buck Branch Drive. The incident occurred between approximately 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 15. Karen N. Holloway, 27, was charged with simple assault and misdemeanor breaking and entering.
Police arrested a Garner man and woman after a domestic dispute at 641 Springview Trail became violent Friday, May 15. Timothy I. Miller, 20, was charged with assault on a female. Celia Thomas, 25, was charged with simple assault.
Larcenies from motor vehicles
A thief or thieves swiped a $1,800 concrete saw from the side storage compartment of a pickup truck parked at the First Citizens Bank located at 2520 Timber Drive. The incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Friday, May 15.
Larcenies
Someone stole a Proline trailer from a parking lot near Capital Pools and Spa located at 128 Hwy 70 East between approximately 5 p.m. Saturday, May 9 and 9 a.m. Monday, May 11. The $8,000 trailer has the license tag BS36681.
A thief or thieves stole a $2,000 Cannondale bicycle from the carport of a home located at 410 Lakeside Drive. The incident occurred between approximately 6 p.m. Friday, May 15 and 5 p.m. Sunday, May 17.
DWI
Police arrested a Benson man for driving while impaired near the intersection of Benson Road and Timber Drive at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday, May 16. Ramiro O. Rosell, 21, was charged with DWI and driving the wrong way on a dual-lane highway.
Police arrested a Willow Spring woman for driving while impaired near the intersection of West Morgan and North Mayo streets in Raleigh at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday, May 17. Amie R. Karatka, 31, was charged with DWI.
