Victims of ConAgra explosion identified

Update 2:58 p.m.

Authorities have released the names of the two other victims: Louis Junior Watson, 33, of Clayton and Rachel Mae Poston Pulley, 67, of Clayton.

Police do not know when Jones Sausage Road will reopen to traffic.

“We’re working on it,” said Sgt. Chris Clayton, spokesperson for the Garner Police Department.

Update 2:50 p.m.

ConAgra Foods has set up a fund for its employees. Information about the fund, including ways to donate, can be found at their Web site: www.media.conagrafoods.com

Update 1:30 p.m.

WRAL reports that a third victim has been located inside the plant.

Update 12 p.m.

The name of one of the victims has been released. Authorities have identified Barbara McLean of Dunn.

Search for last survivor continues through night

Overnight emergency personnel will continue searching  the site of the ConAgra building’s roof collapse for the last of three individuals who have not been found. It is still unclear what information authorities have shared with affected family members regarding their missing kin.

Earlier today, the rescuers located two bodies at the site; one was identified as a female.

The next public update will be at a press conference tomorrow morning at 5 a.m. near the Jones Sausage exit off U.S. 40. Another press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m.
