Bobby Gene Sutton, 51, passed away Thursday, July 16 at his home.

Sutton was a native of Sampson County and was the son of Gene Elwood Sutton of Suttontown and Carol J. Barbour of Fuquay-Varina.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister Kathy Williams (and husband Wesley) of Fuquay-Varina; brother Davis C. Sutton of Fuquay-Varina; brother Michael W. Sutton (and wife Gayle) of Knoxville, Tenn.; aunt Bobbie Jean Boyette of Garner; cousin Debbie Boyette; and other cousins, nieces and nephews. Sutton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marshall and Minnie Lou Johnson.

The family received friends Saturday, July 18 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to United Hospice at 332 N. Brightleaf Blvd., Suite C in Smithfield.
