N.C. State University economist Dr. Michael Walden will speak at the Garner Town Council work session tomorrow. The public is invited to Walden speak about the economic downturn, current economic outlook, and the condition of North Carolina’s economy.
Walden is a William Neal Reynolds professor and North Carolina Cooperative Extension economist in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics of NCSU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He teaches and writes about personal finance, economic outlook and public policy.
Walden has published eight books—including his latest, “North Carolina in the Connected Age”— and more than 250 articles and reports. He is a frequent guest on TV and radio programs. His biweekly column, “You Decide,” is carried by more than 40 newspapers in the state.
Walden received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1978.
The meeting will be held at the Garner Town Hall Council Room, 900 7th Avenue, at 6:00 p.m.
