Police briefs: July 3 through July 10

The Garner Police Department received the following calls between Friday, July 3 and Friday, July 10:

Robberies

Police are investigating a strong-armed robbery in which three suspects robbed a Pizza Hut deliveryman of his pizza bag and a check for $27.77 at 1204 Curtiss Drive. The three suspects are described as males between the ages of 16 and 20, according to police. The incident occurred between approximately 8 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 7.

Burglaries

Police are investigating two separate break-ins in which thieves stole nearly $2,500 in jewelry. The first reported incident occurred at 1363 Benson Road between approximately 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7. The owner of the home returned to find her side door had been broken into and that jewelry was missing, according to police. The second reported break-in occurred between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 7. The suspect or suspects entered the home through a rear door and stole jewelry from the master bedroom, according to police.

Someone broke into a home at 511 Royal Oak Drive and stole $685 worth of property, including a desktop computer and a jewelry box. The suspect gained entry by breaking the glass in the rear door, according to police. The incident occurred between approximately 1:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7.

Someone broke into a home located at 1509 Ainsworth St. and stole nearly $850 worth of property, including a 32-inch high-definition TV and a digital camera. The suspect or suspects entered the home through a rear window and exited through a rear door, according to police. The incident occurred between approximately 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, July 10.

Thefts from motor vehicles

A thief or thieves broke into a vehicle at Agri Supply located at 409 Hwy 70 East and stole nearly $950 worth of drills and drill bits. The incident occurred between approximately 12:15 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8.

A thief or thieves stole a commercial pig cooker on a 10-foot trailer and a double deep fat fryer with a total value of $17,000 from Lancaster’s Barbecue located at 301 Hein Drive. The suspects cut a chain securing the gate to gain access to the cookers between approximately 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2 and 9 a.m. Friday, July 3, according to police.

Someone stole a trailer and a generator valued at approximately $25,000 from Ole Time Barbecue located at 1701 Pinewinds Drive. The incident occurred between approximately 9 p.m. Thursday, July 9 and 4:30 a.m. Friday, July 10.
