Billy and Nancy Hill of Bath and Ed and Jacqueline Swindell of Goldsboro are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Ruth Swindell, to Kenneth James Powell. The groom-elect is the son of Frank and Janet Powell of Garner. The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Bath Christian Church in Bath.
