To help offset the costs of providing new 65-gallon roll-out recycling carts to 8,500 homes, the town of Garner is accepting advertising from local businesses to be placed on the carts.

A molded label, which measures 14.5 inches wide by 9.5 inches high, will contain information about what kinds of items residents can recycle as well as a logo for a local business. The labels will appear long-term on the lids of each cart.

This investment would allow a company’s logo and contact information to be seen daily or bi-weekly at every Garner resident’s household and Garner business.

The town has three options available to businesses interested in purchasing this advertising space: $17,000 to appear on all 8,500 carts, purchased by one business; $8,500 each for two businesses to split the cost on 4,250 carts each; or $4,250 each for four businesses to split the cost four-ways to purchase advertising space on 2,125 carts each.

This deal is for one-time only, and businesses must act quickly in order to meet the town’s deadline for cart distribution in October.

If a business is interested in advertising on the rollout recycling carts, contact Director of Economic Development Tony Beasley at 919-773-4405 or by e-mail at tbeasley@garnernc.gov.
