Golden State Foods celebrates new Garner facility

Garner is home to a new food distribution center, and the ribbon cutting ceremony will be held tomorrow.

Golden State Foods — a major supplier for the foodservice industry — will host a ribbon cutting Thursday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. at 1400 North Greenfield Parkway. Members of the Garner business community, including Mayor Ronnie Williams and Garner Chamber President Neal Padgett.

A $4 billion company, Golden State Foods services more than 20,000 quick-service restaurants worldwide and has has been McDonald’s primary supplier for more than 50 years. The Garner location employs 225 people.
