U.S. Rep. David Price (D-NC) will be at the school tomorrow to look at that and the automotive systems technology program. Both are in high demand and in need of expansion, and the school hopes to secure federal funding.

Earlier this month, The Garner Citizen reported on the simulation and game development program, which has gained traction as the industry becomes more profitable.

Both the simulation and game development and the automotive systems technology programs would receive $200,000 each under the House version of federal appropriations bill. Price, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, was a key sponsor of the requests for these appropriations. His visit to Wake Tech will allow him to see how funds would be used to expand the programs.

Price is scheduled to tour the simulation and game development lab from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m., and the automotive systems program from 11:20 a.m. until 12 p.m.
