School board forum in Garner this week

Wake County Board of Education candidates are getting plenty of opportunities to share their perspectives with voters.

Last Wednesday, the League of Women Voters of Wake County hosted a forum in Raleigh. This week, candidates — including District 2 hopefuls Horace Tart, Cathy Truitt, John Tedesco and Carlene Lucas — will speak their minds at a candidate forum in Garner at the Civitan Civic Center. The event is sponsored by Phil Jeffreys, a former Wake County commissioner.
