Vicki Ferree reads The Garner Citizen to some local children in a rural village in the mountains south of La Ceiba, Honduras, Sept. 25. Ferree was on a mission trip to prepare a first-ever library facility for the impoverished community and assist in the opening day fiesta celebration. The photo was taken in a tent Ferree made of mosquito netting, lined with a bed sheet to create a children’s reading area. Ferree’s group helped to bring books to people who have never had books before.
