Honor a veteran in The Garner Citizen’s special Veterans Day issue

The Garner Citizen will feature a special Veterans Day section in the Nov. 11 issue to honor veterans who have ties to the Garner area. There are two ways that readers can contribute:

Veterans’ stories. We will showcase veterans and their special stories and photos. If you would like to place an article about your veteran, please contact Amy Townsend at amy@garnercitizen.com. The deadline for stories is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Commemorative ad. You can also honor a veteran in your life by purchasing a commemorative memorial ad that will feature your veteran during his or her term of service. An ad is $116, with $25 going to a Garner veterans service organization. Please submit all information along with a military service photo by e-mail to advertise@garnercitizen.com or in person at our office. The deadline for these materials is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Below is a sample of the commemoration ad that we will offer in the following U.S. military branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, and Coast Guard.
