Staff reports
The town of Garner has implemented a new program, the Garner Residential and Commercial Improvement Program, which is designed to help preserve and enhance the value of Garner’s residential and commercial properties.
Every month town staff will determine a winner in both residential and commercial property categories using a point system and predetermined criteria.
The town will present the Yard of the Month (for the winning residential property) and Property of the Month (for the winning commercial property) award signs to show their winning designations. The sign can be placed on the property for display. The monthly winners will be recognized on the town’s Web site and the town’s Public Access Channel 11 on Time Warner Cable.
The monthly winners of the Yard of the Month award will have their names placed in a drawing to win a $100 Lowes Home Improvement gift card. Also, winners of the Property of the Month award will have their names entered into a drawing to win a $200 Lowes Home Improvement gift card.
