ConAgra layoffs, cuts take effect

This week begins layoffs and shift reductions at the ConAgra plant.

In September — less than a month after company officials had thrown a celebration and dedication ceremony for all employees — the company announced it would be laying off 326 employees at the Garner facility because of decreased production.
