The location of tomorrow’s Veterans Day Celebration and Site Dedication Event has been changed. It will now be held at the Aversboro Road Baptist Church sanctuary.

Garner’s first-ever Veterans Day celebration, sponsored by the town and the Garner Veterans Memorial Committee, will bring together veterans and veterans’ families, community leaders, town residents and friends to honor those who have served or are serving in the armed forces.

The HHC 535th Military Police Battalion will participate in the ceremony, along with elected officials, the Garner Magnet High School Band, students from Vandora Springs Elementary School and local veteran and vocalist Dave Kamphuis. The guest speaker for this event will be Garner native Col. Craig Hales, USMC.

For more information, please contact the town of Garner Parks and Recreation Department at 919-772-4688.
