Council considers sewer connection

The town is looking to move forward with connecting a group of neighbors to public sewer at Tuesday night’s meeting at 7 p.m. The Town Council decides whether to green light a project that would charge about 10 residents located north of the State Employees’ Credit Union $6,300 per lot.

Most neighbors support the project. Those in opposition say the hookup is unnecessary and involuntary.

Council to hold work session after meeting

Garner’s Town Council members should remember to load up on caffeine for their extra long session on Tuesday night. The elected body is holding its work session immediately after its regular meeting.

Topics include: an update on the new neighborhood improvement program, health insurance coverage for future retirees and a visit from John Tedesco, District 2’s new school board member.
