“My story is a sad one. More than four years ago, my owners abandoned me at the local veterinary clinic. I lived there in a 4-foot by 6-foot kennel with none of the comforts of a home, such as toys and blankets. My concrete bed was cold but not my heart. A wonderful lady came, saw me, felt sorry for me and took me with her; and now she is dedicated to finding me a home. I am Snoopy, a 7-year-old beagle who is looking for a permanent home for a senior pooch. I am a sweet, smart dog who loves people, food, belly rubs, food, being brushed, food and playing. I’m a little chubby, so I need you to exercise me and help me lose some weight (but no green beans as they aren’t my favorite food by a country mile). Recently, I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition and am currently on an inexpensive medication. With my medicine and exercise, I hope to be a lean, clean beagle machine. I am neutered, up-to-date on my shots and microchipped. I’m ready to find my forever home and a new family to call my own. If you have a home for a senior, please come to the adopt-a-thon Saturday at the Garner Towne Square PetSmart from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or contact Paw Prints Animal Rescue either by phone (919-772-9107) or via e-mail at dogs@pawprintsrescue.org. I will be waiting for you!”
The Hearts and Hands Home School Cooperative associated with the Highlands Baptist Church in Garner will hold a supply drive for Paw Prints Animal Rescue at the PetSmart at Timber Drive and Hwy 70 from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23. Dog, puppy, cat and kitten canned and dry food, blankets, treats, cedar chips for extra warmth for the dog houses during the daytime (we bring them in at night), squeaky toys and jars of peanut butter (for medicinal purposes and to fill Kongs) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

OMG! What kind of vet clinic would let a dog live like that! I would go there…that sounds like cruelty!
