Wake County commissioners will meet during their annual planning retreat this weekend in Raleigh.
The commission will likely get its first look at budget proposals from county departments, including a recommendation to close Garner’s library if a seven percent cut is needed in the library system. Since The Garner Citizen first reported on the proposal, thousands of community members, town officials and educators have protested the county’s consideration to close the popular Garner branch.
