Connecticut power plant explosion said to involve gas pipe purging

Less than a week after federal officials recommended tightening fire safety guidelines related to gas-line purging in response to the fatal explosion at the ConAgra Food plant in Garner last June, another gas-purging incident has devastated a power plant in Middletown, Conn., killing at least five people.
