The North Garner Middle School Music Boosters raised more than $1,300 in just 2-and-a-half hours at a recent flapjack fundraiser at Applebee’s. All proceeds will directly cover costs for the band and chorus programs to perform at an upcoming music festival.
The fundraiser was hosted Saturday, March 13 by the Applebee’s restaurant at Hwy 70 West. More than 220 people purchased tickets, and an additional $130 in donations was raised. Breakfast included a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
“The Apple Gold Group is delighted to have been able to support local youth programs,” president and CEO Michael Olander said. “Our employees had a wonderful time working with the volunteers and music students and hope that they will turn to us for future assistance.”
Applebee’s will hold flapjack fundraisers in conjunction with any local nonprofit organization as a way to raise money for whatever cause. Breakfasts can be held on any Saturday or Sunday morning. To request a flapjack fundraiser to benefit your nonprofit organization, visit aggrestaurants.com.
