Become a citizen journalist

If you are writer in the Garner area who is interested in contributing to The Garner Citizen, we would love to hear from you. A weekly community paper, we cover town government, community, education, faith, business, sports, and arts and entertainment.

We are seeking for thorough, fair, and resourceful writers who are curious about and engaged in their community. A background in journalism isn’t necessary, but solid writing skills and a willingness to learn journalism principles are.  Please e-mail your resume, a writing sample and cover letter explaining your area(s) of interest and your availability to amy@garnercitizen.com.
